Vanessa Hicks handles the Virginia criminal defense practice in southwest Virginia for Price Benowitz LLP. Ms. Hick’s extensive experience has helped earn her a reputation as an aggressive and effective Virginia criminal lawyer. Vanessa Hicks began her career as an Assistant Public Defender in Lynchburg, VA. Most recently, she was the Chief Public Defender in Arlington, VA. During her time as a Virginia criminal attorney, Ms. Hicks has worked on both adult and juvenile cases and argued Virginia criminal cases successfully in front of judges and juries. Ms. Hicks graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. In 1989 she received her JD from Washington and Lee School of Law, where she was a member of the Mock Trial Team and the Alderson Women’s Prison Legal Clinic. She is a member of the Virginia Bar Association and the Virginia Criminal Justice Conference.
