Karin Riley Porter

Ms. Karin Riley Porter believes that effective, aggressive representation for those accused of crimes is a crucial part of the justice system. Ms. Porter spent nine years as a prosecutor in Virginia before joining Price Benowitz LLP, where she learned just how much of a difference a qualified criminal defense lawyer makes in the outcome of a case.  Ms. Porter has unique knowledge about law enforcement investigative techniques and the trial strategies used by the prosecution.  This distinctive knowledge allows her to build a defense strategy that is not only plausible, but also persuasive. Ms. Porter is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Porter is a member of the National College for DUI Defense as well as Chair of the Economic Opportunities Commission of Alexandria. She is barred in the Commonwealth of Virginia for both state and federal matters. Ms. Porter attended Penn State University, and then graduated from the George Mason University School of Law with honors. Immediately after graduation, Ms. Porter clerked for a Fairfax County Circuit Court judge.
