What does it mean if I’ve already paid the fine for reckless driving case?

In Virginia, you are allowed to pre-pay traffic infraction tickets which means you have the ability to pay ahead of time and then go into courts, and you avoid going into courts altogether. That means you’re basically pleading guilty ahead of time. With misdemeanor charges like reckless driving, you cannot pre-pay. They will tell you how to go to court. In those cases, your attorney, if you have one, can go to court on your behalf, talk to the parties, the prosecutor, and the officer and potentially resolve the case on your behalf with just a fine, but the difference is you cannot pre-pay a misdemeanor offense.
